The Golden Halo Award, the highest honor the Motion Picture Academy’s Council gives to a Performer not in the Film industry, was presented to Peter by Mickey Rooney for his “Live Performances and Loving Tribute to Judy Garland” on his 10th Anniversary of performing. This show features 9 costume changes, 26 songs, and multimedia taking you a journey through her time in Vaudeville, through her motion pictures and concert career, and the legacy she left us. Judy Garland died 47 years ago on June 22, 1969. Many Stonewall Veterans feel her funeral on June 28, 1969 was the catalyst for the Stonewall Riots which changed the face of the Gay Rights movement.
