About DJ Wayne Michael
Born and raised in Southeast Massachusetts, Wayne’s interest in music started early on as an avid saxophone and drum player. Aside from developing those talents in school, Wayne DJ’d many church and school dances and held basement parties for his peers. Several years later when he met his friend and mentor DJ James Andersen, Wayne started to think seriously about developing his skills as a DJ.
After eleven years behind the decks, Wayne has built an impressive resume and has become one of the top DJ’s from the Providence/Boston area. He has appeared regularly throughout Massachusetts including Machine, Buzz, RISE and Estate in Boston as well as Purgatory, Pied Bar and the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown. In Rhode Island he has held residencies at Energy, Eagle, Gallery and Kamp, however, his experience extends far beyond New England with appearances at Love and Stonewall in NYC, Parking in Montreal, Twist in Miami Beach as well as Cat Club, Club 8 and End Up in San Francisco.
