Barbara Pierre is a Boston-based performer, educator, and arts advocate whose work lives at the intersection of musical storytelling and community connection. You can see her as Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray at The Umbrella Arts Center in Concord, MA running April 26th – May 17th 2026.
Her stage credits include Minola McKnight in Parade, Gary Coleman in Avenue Q, Maggie Jones in 42nd Street, and Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray with The Umbrella, as well as Mama Morton in Chicago at the Vokes Theatre. Additional roles include Brenda in Smokey Joe’s Cafe, The Dragon in Shrek, and Sebastian in The Little Mermaid with Needham Community Theatre, where she received a 2019 DASH Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical.
Nikita DaRosa is a passionate performer with a deep love for music and theater. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in the Arts with a concentration in Musical Theater from Dean College. Nikita has brought dynamic characters to life on stage, including Joanne in Rent, Brenda in Catch Me If You Can, and Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act! In addition to theater, Nikita performs original R&B music, with live performances at venues such as Grace by Nia in Boston. She is dedicated to spreading positivity, kindness, and authentic expression through her art, and remains deeply grateful for the unwavering support of her family and community throughout her journey.
Kayla Shimizu is a Boston based Japanese-Chilean performer. When she is not on stage, you can find her 32,000 ft in the air traveling the world, or solo hiking with nothing but her backpack!
Her stage credits include Elizabeth in A Christmas Carol (CSC) and Audrey in Little Shop (GBSC), Phyllis in Flora and Ulysses (Wheelock Family Theater), Vivienne in Legally Blonde (Moonbox Productions), Ensemble in Assassins (Lyric Stage), Ariel in Little Mermaid and Laurie in Oklahoma (Reagle Music Theatre), Natalya in Preludes (Lyric Stage), Catherine in Pippin (RMT) and Natasha in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (The Wilbury Theatre Group). Stefani Wood is a Boston-based performer, director, and voice teacher who loves telling stories through music and connecting with audiences. A graduate of The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, she has spent over a decade working in theater education and performance. Recent credits include Maureen in RENT, Alice Murphy in Bright Star, the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Betty in White Christmas. Additional credits include Songs for a New World, Seussical the Musical, Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, and It’s a Wonderful Life, along with numerous cabaret and concert performances throughout the Boston area. In addition to performing, Stefani has directed dozens of productions and built a thriving voice studio, working with students both locally and across the country. She is passionate about creating meaningful arts experiences, fostering strong artistic communities, and helping voices of all ages reach their full potential. Stefani is endlessly grateful for the support of her husband, Eric, and their two daughters, Sofia and Randi.
