“Who’s Mom’s favorite?” Musical Comedienne Mackenzie Cavagnaro seeks to answer the age-old question in her original production, “Battle of the Siblings!” featuring her real-life brother, organist, pianist, and vocalist Jerrick Cavagnaro. Come ready for a hilarious evening of cabaret, sketches, and musical improv!

Mackenzie Cavagnaro is a NYC based actress, comedian, diva, and sister! She is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts where she studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting as well as the Experimental Theatre Wing. Some of her performance credits include Gina in Tisch Drama Stage’s The Duck, Annie in Stella Adler’s Silent Sky, and Tara in Siblings. She has performed comedy at Gotham Comedy Club and Green Fig. In a worksheet given to her in preschool she wrote that her favorite hobby was “annoying her brother” and she is proud to report that after 18 years, that has not changed! She’s excited to settle her and Jerrick’s lifelong rivalry and is ecstatic you’re here to witness history.

Jerrick Cavagnaro is a Boston-based classical musician with a passion for collaboration and improvisation. From a young age, Jerrick began singing in choirs and studying piano which eventually led to pipe organ lessons. Every summer he would attend a rock and roll summer camp as a keyboardist and singer while also continuing to sing and play for church. After deciding to pursue a career as a church organist, he went on to complete his undergraduate studies in organ performance and sacred music at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and his graduate degree in organ performance at Yale University. Jerrick currently serves as the associate director of music at Trinity Episcopal Church (Copley Square) in Boston, MA but still enjoys playing a wide variety of music. In 2024, Jerrick won first prize in the American Guild of Organists National Competition in Organ Improvisation. In 2025 he released his debut solo album, Firm Foundations (available on all streaming platforms) featuring several improvisations recorded at Trinity, Boston. Sarah Matsushima (@sarah.bernadette) is stoked to be helping Mackenzie bring Battle of the Siblings to life! Sarah is a Boston-based vocalist with degrees from Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory. Though she is primarily a jazz singer and songwriter, Sarah is a lifelong lover of theatre and has always wanted to be involved in producing an original show. Sarah’s released music can be found on all streaming platforms under the name Sarah Bernadette.
