Bill Spera

reservationsDine With Us.

“The Kid Inside” is a musical journey about keeping the awe and wonder of childhood alive as we grow into adulthood, and about learning to trust what our inner child is telling us. Bill explores how music has enabled him to do just that in his own life, with songs from the worlds of Broadway, Top 40, and the Great American Songbook. Musical Direction and Accompaniment by Chip Prince, Story Concept by Bill Spera, and Script by Scott Calcagno.

Bill Spera, formerly of Boston, now resides in Palm Springs, California. He currently performs as a cabaret artist and with the premier men’s vocal ensemble A Cabbello in Palm Springs. He previously performed with the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus for 21 years, as well as in a wide variety of cabarets, revues, shows, and musicals, including with the Boston Pops for their acclaimed production of Ragtime: The Symphonic Concert. He also still appears as Santa for their annual Holiday Pops concerts. He is familiar to Club Cafe audiences as one-half of the long-running Napoleon Room duo ‘Katie & Bill’ along with his pal Katie Connor. He was also named a finalist for his show “The Kid Inside” as part of the Revolution Stage Company’s Cabaret Riot competition in Palm Springs, and won the Audience Favorite award for his cabaret show “45 in 40” at the New England Fringe Festival.

Chip Prince is based in Palm Springs, California. He’s an accompanist for the men’s vocal ensemble A Cabbello, and also performs with the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, including directing their small ensemble barbershop group “Bruce Kenyon’s The Arrangement.” Additionally, he freelances as an accompanist, music director and collaborator, including for many local and national cabaret artists (such as Mary Setrakian, Evangelia Kingsley, L.T. Cousineau, Erik Scott Romney, and Bill Spera to name but a few). Prior to moving to Palm Springs, Chip was based in New York City where he was pianist and/or conductor for many Broadway shows and touring companies including Ragtime, Sunset Boulevard, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Newsies, Mary Poppins, Frozen, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, as well as accompanist for the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus.
