Kathy travels through soul, pop, R&B, rock, and country genres in search of the emotional center of a song. Her musical interests reflect the strong influence growing up in the deep south has had on her life and music. Among the artists who have inspired her are The Four Tops, Sheena Easton, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Angie Stone, Heart, Bread, The Judds, Bobbie Gentry, Elvis, 60’s girl groups, and a musical or two – West Side Story in particular. Assisted by the warm, versatile expressiveness of accompanist Nathan Morrissey, Kathy’s heartfelt performance ensures everyone will find something they can relate to.
