MICHAEL CHAPMAN is a Southern boy born and raised in West By God Virginia who grew up singing in his father’s church where at the age of 2 he made his singing debut in front of the congregation with a stirring rendition of Jesus Loves Me, and the singing has never stopped since that moment.  Michael says that he feels things definitely improve with age and he has the perspective he’s always needed for great music at this place in his life. When listening to Michael, some consider him more blues and soul, some consider him more rock and gospel or even a little country. Michael says he doesn’t like to pigeon himself into any one genre and says that whether he’s doing a cover song or a song of his own, the passion and feeling must come from within to convey a song’s true meaning to the audience.
