Rainbows and Stars with Katie LaMark

reservationsDine With Us.

It’s Pride Month and The Napoleon Room has created a new series called RAINBOW AND STARS celebrating our gay community and our allies. PRIDE PARTIES are interspersed throughout June featuring and thanking many of our biggest fans for their support throughout the year. Tonight’s PRIDE PARTY is hosted by Katie LaMark who will be welcoming to the stage Brian DeLorenzo, Diane Ellis and Mark Roderick for a trio of showcases. We will wind up the party with an open mic as we do every night at the Napoleon Room.

KATIE LAMARK started singing at an early age with her mother, Dottie, and her sister, Marion, accompanied by their father, pianist and arranger Tom LaMark. With an upbringing surrounded by music, she had the opportunity to perform at North Shore Music Theater and Scullers Jazz Club, and was featured with her sister on two albums recorded by Boston’s own Carol O’Shaughnessy.

Katie LaMark spent 13 years performing regionally in productions like Jesus Christ Superstar (Annas, ACT), Mamma Mia (ACT), The Wedding Singer (Holly, Gateway Playhouse) The Rocky Horror Show (Janet, FIP), and in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as The Narrator, starring opposite American Idol’s David Archuleta (Tuacahn Ampitheater). She also toured nationally and internationally, leading the 10th Anniversary Tour of Rock of Ages as Sherrie Christian, and the 20th Anniversary Tour of RENT as Maureen Johnson. Katie is thrilled to be back in Boston with her family and carry on the family tradition of music.

Brian DeLorenzo is an award-winning singer, actor, and songwriter equally at home in nightclubs, concert halls, and theatres. He has appeared at The Metropolitan Room, The Iridium, Don’t Tell Mama, Eighty-Eight’s, the New York Cabaret Convention, and the International Cabaret Festival in New York; the Chicago Cabaret Convention; Scullers Jazz Club and Club Café (Boston); three Boston Cabaret Festivals; The Pheasantry Jazz Club in London; The Palm, and Incanto in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; the Cape Cod Cabaret Festival; and multiple times at CabaretFest! Provincetown since its founding in the year 2000. He just released his new CD TOAST OF THE TOWN

Born in Boston and coming from a musical family, Diane Ellis learned everything there was to know about music and the importance of connecting with the audience from her dad. Over her career, Diane has sung every genre of music from jazz, top 40, disco & Broadway. She was the opening act at Trump’s Castle in Atlantic City for the Ink Spots, the Four Freshmen, Allen & Rossi, Freda Payne, & Nat King Cole’s brother: Freddie Cole. But it was in Las Vegas where Diane found her niche as a showgirl dancing and singing in Beach Blanket Babylon, Broadway variety shows, and starring as the Reverend Mother in Nunsense. When Diane moved back to Boston, she landed a national tv commercial for Safe Step Walk-in Tub and met her best friend; Carol O’Shaughnessy, with whom she decided to share the stage at Club Café, singing and laughing up a storm!

Mark Roderick has been a regular open mic singer at the Napoleon Room since 2019. He quickly became an audience favorite and has performed songs from all musical genres including music from Broadway, the American Songbook, Pop and Jazz. In May of 2022, after the 2-year Covid shutdown, he headlined, along with his good buddy Leni Lunderman, one of the club’s first solo Cabaret shows, “It Takes Two”, featuring classic male duets. Mark Roderick has also appeared at The Jan Peter’s Cabaret Spotlight hosted byt Carol O’Shaughnessy in June 2025
