Through personal storytelling, live conversation, music, and spontaneous audience participation, Richard explores the wisdom, humor, resilience, and humanity passed down through generations of entertainers, mentors, friends, and cultural icons.

Richard Skipper is an entertainer, storyteller, interviewer, and celebrator of people whose career spans more than four decades in theatre, cabaret, television, and live performance. Best known for his long-running platform Richard Skipper Celebrates, Richard has become a unique voice in the worlds of cabaret and live entertainment by creating audience-interactive experiences centered around connection, conversation, and celebration. A native of Conway, South Carolina, Richard moved to New York on August 5, 1979, fulfilling a five-year goal he set for himself as a teenager after being inspired by The Magic of Believing by Claude M. Bristol. Since then, he has built a career rooted not simply in performance, but in preserving stories, honoring legends, and creating meaningful experiences for audiences.

Richard is internationally recognized for Richard Skipper Celebrates Hello, Dolly!, his acclaimed celebration of the iconic musical and the legacy of Carol Channing, based on more than 25 years of research and over 1,000 interviews with artists connected to the production. He has performed his work in New York, London, Provincetown, Palm Springs, and beyond. As host of the popular Richard Skipper Celebrates podcast and livestream series, Richard has interviewed hundreds of artists, authors, entertainers, and cultural figures, creating conversations that blend humor, humanity, history, and inspiration. Goldie Dver is a MAC Award-winning cabaret singer, actress, and producer based in New York City. Known for her theatrical vocal style and deeply personal storytelling, she has been a prominent fixture of the American Songbook and cabaret community for decades.
