Lisa Kantor, Lovely Hoffman and Jo Brisbane and special guest Kira Troilo join together onstage for the first time with music director Tom Lamark.
LISA KANTOR has been performing solo cabaret-style shows for several years. She describes the experience of singing and performing as a” portal to pure joy.” Lisa is passionate about the ever-unfolding process of learning and growing that has fueled her creative pursuit. She believes that music can be a powerful vehicle for the expression of the human experience. Lisa has performed in a variety of venues, including The Amazing Things Performing Arts Center, The Napoleon Room at Club Café and Ryles Jazz Club. Lisa is a professional member of BACA (Boston Association of Cabaret Artists) and MAC (Manhattan Association for Cabarets and Clubs).
LOVELY HOFFMAN is an Award-Winning singer, songwriter, and theatre artist. In 2015, Lovely received an IRNE Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Celie in the New England premiere of the “The Color Purple” at Speakeasy Stage Company. In 2017, she released her single, “My Black Is Beautiful,” a song about self-love, which went viral and reached #45 on the Adult Contemporary radio charts. Lovely has been featured on CNN and BET, and in Teen Vogue and Essence magazines. In 2019, Lovely Hoffman performed background vocals for Mariah Carey’s, “All I Want for Christmas” concert in Boston at the Wang Theatre and was one of the background singers for the move I Wanna Dance With Somebody her 1st Principal Role in a Hollywood movie. Theatre credits include: The Huntington Theatre, Boston Lyric Opera, Reagle Music Theatre, New Repertory Theatre, Lyric Stage Company, Greater Boston Stage Company, Moonbox Productions, and The Umbrella Theatre.
JO BRISBANE is so happy to (finally!) make her Boston cabaret debut with Ladies Who Brunch. Jo’s “Mod Hollywood!” show debuted in 2022 at Don’t Tell Mama in New York City (following its summer presentation at the Provincetown CabaretFest). Her new show “Mod Hollywood!” featuring music director Tracy Stark is coming to The Napoleon Room on May 9, 2023. Jo was part of the original cast for the “USO Radio Show” produced in 2019 by Patricia Fitzpatrick at Don’t Tell Mama. She has performed in numerous musicals for regional theatres, including Cape Rep Theatre, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Eventide Theatre Company, The Provincetown Theatre and Cape Cod Theatre Company. Her favorite shows have included “Company”, “Tommy- A Rock Musical”, “The Threepenny Opera”, “Doctor Doolittle”, “Mister Burns – A Post-Electric Play”, and “Souvenir – A Fantasia On The Life of Florence Foster Jenkins”. Jo’s original holiday spoof “Hope for the Holidays” will magically reappear in 2023 as a cabaret show.
