Cabaret Spotlight with Carol O’Shaughnessy
reservationsDine With Us.
CABARET SPOTLIGHT hosted by CAROL O’SHAUGHNESSY with special guest TED GRACE.
Carol is Boston’s leading lady of cabaret, earning the coveted “Cabaret Entertainer of the Year.” She’s been compared to Bette Midler and Ethel Merman and has appeared with legends, Joan Rivers, David Brenner and Pat Cooper. She has charmed audiences from Provincetown to Europe.
TED GRACE is quickly approaching his 30th anniversary of singing at open mics and piano bars. In December of 1994, at the original Napoleon Club, Ted decided to try to sing a song, and he hasn’t stopped singing since. He performed his very first show earlier this year at Club Cafe’s Napoleon Room, and it was a huge success, and very well received (two sold out dates!). Ted has performed at many open mic venues, including Monday’s Lounge and the 1280 Club in Brookline, Diamond Jim’s, The Encore Lounge, Frank Wilkins’ Jazz Vocal Showcase, and of course the original Napoleon Club, which will always hold a special place in Ted’s heart. Ted has studied with several voice and performance coaches, including Donell Patterson and Dane Vannatter. In 1998 Ted performed a short set at the Fiddlehead Theater (now known as the Norwood Theater) as opening act for well-known jazz singer Krisanthi Pappas. Ted is excited for his upcoming Cabaret Spotlight and hopes you can all join him for a fun and enjoyable evening of music and merriment.
