CABARET SPOTLIGHT hosted by CAROL O’SHAUGHNESSY with special guest MARK RODERICK.

Carol is Boston’s leading lady of cabaret, earning the coveted “Cabaret Entertainer of the Year.” She’s been compared to Bette Midler and Ethel Merman and has appeared with legends, Joan Rivers, David Brenner and Pat Cooper. She has charmed audiences from Provincetown to Europe.

Mark Roderick has been a regular open mic singer at the Napoleon Room since 2019. He quickly became an audience favorite and has performed songs from all musical genres including music from Broadway, the American Songbook, Pop and Jazz. In May of 2022, after the 2-year Covid shutdown, he headlined, along with his good buddy Leni Lunderman, one of the club’s first solo Cabaret shows, “It Takes Two”, featuring classic male duets.

Mark was a long-time member of the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus and was the music director of the Metropolitan Community Church of Boston. He is currently a member of the Southern Mass Festival Chorus and has been a featured soloist since 2008. Mark’s love of singing is evident in the passion he brings to each song and is thrilled to be this month’s Jan Peters Cabaret Spotlight singer.
