Seating may be assigned on the night of the show by our staff, therefore it is recommended that tickets for your entire party be purchased together instead of individually. It is also recommended that large parties arrive to the venue at least 1/2 hour prior to the performance time. This will help us greatly to seat your party together.

The Ladies Who Brunch at Club Café is Boston’s newest Sunday divertissement. Indulge yourself in a feast for your senses with Opera on Tap’s renowned artists Melynda Davis, Katrina Holden, Jessica Jacobs along with pianist James J. Meyers. We’re pairing charming theater classics, and delicious duets, and rare cabaret gems for an unforgettable brunch experience. “The Ladies Who Brunch”, where incredible food, gorgeous music and wonderful company come together seamlessly.
Soprano, Melynda Davis, is a Boston-based singer specializing in opera, oratorio, and art song. Ms. Davis has performed with companies such as Boston Lyric Opera, NY Lyric Opera, MassOpera, and the Boston Pops. She has also been a finalist in Connecticut Opera Guild’s Competition, placed First in the Rhode Island NATS Competition, and placed Second in Boston’s Leontyne Price Vocal Arts Competition. Operatic roles include: Desdemona (Otello), Nedda (Pagliacci), Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), Mimi (La Bohème), Flora (La Traviata), Leonie (Freedom Ride), and Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica).
She was a finalist in Connecticut Opera Guild, placed First in the RINATS Competition and placed Second in Boston’s Leontyne Price Vocal Arts Competition.Melynda serves as a Board member for Opera on Tap Boston and Boston Singer’s Resource and is a member of their rosters.
Katrina Holden is a New England based soprano known for a silvery lyric voice and a depth in her approach to musical text. Her debut in Der Rosenkavalier with Connecticut Lyric Opera was lauded by the press; “… as Sophie, Holden was perfectly cast, teenage-fresh in both character and voice, making the most of the ringing top to ensembles given to her role.” A “dramatic” performer, (Boston Theater Review), other operatic stage highlights include Musetta in La Bohème, the title role in Massenet’s Cendrillon, Beth in Mark Adamo’s Little Women, Countess Charlotte in A Little Night Music, and Frasquita in Carmen. Katrina has performed on the stages of Boston Lyric Opera, Odyssey Opera, Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, MassOpera, Boston Opera Collaborative, NEMPAC Opera Project and Opera del West and has been an Opera on Tap Roster member for over 10 years.
Soprano Jessica Jacobs is hailed as having “pipes with real heft and warmth” and “an expressive face, ever interesting to watch” and often appears with opera companies and musical organizations throughout New England. She studied voice and opera performance at Northwestern University and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Recent highlights have included Mimi in La Bohème with Long Island Opera, Mrs. Clancy in The Italian Lesson and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with Boston Opera Collaborative, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus with VOX Opera, and Ensemble member in The Handmaid’s Tale with Boston Lyric Opera. In addition to her singing career, Jessica is Mom to two amazing kids, Ben and Cece, and owns and operates Somerville Music Spaces, a new rehearsal and performance facility near Davis Square, Somerville. Keyboardist James J. Myers enjoys collaborations with leading artistic luminaries of our age. Esteemed projects have included Vier letzte Lieder with Christine Brewer, Indie Songs with Renée Fleming, and Opera Colorado’s Naxos recording of Nixon in China with John Adams and Marin Alsop. He’s shared stages with Frederica von Stade, Thomas Hampson, Nadine Sierra, composers Tom Cipullo and Jake Heggie, and conductors Bernard Labadie, Matthew Halls, Peter Oundjian, and the late Marvin Hamlisch. In masterclasses he’s supported Jane Eaglen, Sylvia McNair, Abby Simon, Wagnernian Linda Watson and the late Soulima Stravinsky and Zvi Zeitlin. Serving as Lecturer and Coach/Pianist with Boston Lyric Opera he’s designed multi-media exhibition lectures at the Museum of Fine Arts and Public Library, including Viennese Musical Modernism of Klimt and Schiele, World Architecture and Acoustics, and Music of Matisse, among others. He was Assistant Professor of Opera and Voice at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee where his students won contracts to renowned musical organizations and houses throughout the world. Prof. Myers’ dynamic performances have reached the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, Valencia, Spain; Hannover’s Beethovensaal; the DiMenna Center, New York; Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Portland; and King’s College, Cambridge, England. In 2024 he’ll tour Cuba on a cultural program, study Slavic medieval architecture in Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo, and will serve as Collaborative Director with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. He studied with esteemed pedagogue Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, Germany through a Rotary Fellowship, and earned degrees with distinction from the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Eastman School of Music.
