The Ladies Who Brunch at Club Café is Boston’s favorite Sunday divertissement.  Kick off your new year and indulge yourself in a feast for your senses with renowned artists Maryan Zschau, Em Bergman and Allyson Lynch.

Maryann Zschau hasn’t done a “cabaret” show since 2001, but couldn’t resist saying yes to this opportunity to share the stage with daughter, Em and husband, Steve Bergman (with Ally being the cherry on top!). Maryann’s performing and directing experience is extensive in Boston and on the south shore. Favorite roles include every Sondheim leading lady she was honored to play at the Lyric Stage Company & Publick Theatre.  Most recently she directed Steel Magnolias for Riverside Theatre Works.  A proud Boston College graduate, Maryann works as the Senior Development Officer, Special Events for South Shore Health to pay the bills! Next, she will appear as Effie in The Spitfire Grill at the Umbrella Center for the Arts in May, and will direct Sunday in the Park with George (her very favorite) for the Norton Singers in June.

As a performer, Em Bergman was recently seen in Cabaret as a KitKat girl (Cohasset Drama Club) and in Hair (Company Theatre) as a tribe member. Other favorite roles include Hot Blades Harry in Urinetown and Pseudolus in A Funny Thing…Forum.  Loving behind the scenes work as much as performing, she has directed and choreographed productions at Rockland High School (SpongeBob the Musical, Mamma Mia, The Addams Family & Shrek) as well as choreographed for Silver Lake RHS (Urinetown, Footloose & The Little Mermaid). Stage management as well as set and lighting design are also big passions of Em’s.  By day, she works as a Performing Arts and Humanities teacher at MAP Academy in Plymouth, having attended both Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music and Bridgewater State University.

Allyson Lynch is thrilled to be performing today alongside such talented friends! Equally at home in classical and musical theater vocal styles, she has sung as the Soprano Soloist in Brahms Requiem with Pilgrim Festival Chorus, and on recordings for several of Steven Bergman’s songs for release with Dreamworld Productions this year. Recent musical theater credits include Jekyll & Hyde at Norwood Theater, Joseph… Dreamcoat and Beauty and the Beast (Madame de la Grande Bouche) with New Bedford Festival Theater, and Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman u/s) at Company Theatre. With a Masters of Music from University of Louisville, Allyson covered the roles of Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro and Micaëla in Carmen with Kentucky Opera. She has a private voice studio in Plymouth, and has been teaching on the south shore for the past decade.
